Is this sensor attached to left side on rear axle for the DSC?

I realize picture is sideways. :-)

Looks like it, the smooth coaxial (cable tv cord) looking cord on the bottom left leads to the wheel sensor

That is the level controller for the bi-xenons. If the rear is loaded down (change in lower control arm angle) , the sensor will automatically adjust for level as to not blind oncoming traffic with lights that woud be aimed upwards,

Thanks! That is interesting & good info to know. The Bi-Xenons in my G35 do the same thing but they must accomplish the leveling a different way as I have never seen any sensors attached to the front or rear control arms.

What year is your G35? Our old 08 did not have auto leveling.

2007 G35x with the Technology Package which includes Intelligent Cruise Control and the headlight AFS system like the Mazda has. I think this might have only been on the models with AFS. I'll see if I can find any references in the Infiniti FSM.

Sure enough... I found reference for this sensor in my G's FSM. I then went out and looked and the same type sensor is on that car in the same location. It was just hidden more within the suspension components.

Oh wrong item. But the smooth wire is for the wheel sensor/dsc. If you follow it upper right you can see the white stripe.
