So I got the dealer to get down to 200 above invoice for a 2008.5 Pearl White Grand Touring Mazdaspeed3....

Is this good enough or should I try to push it more???

And got any advice to a first timer in the market so I dont get ***** with unnecessary charges?? Thanks

I'd say just make sure you are negotiating the OTD price.

The destination charge just about everyone pays and is typically non-negotiable.

Floorplan fee or Wholesale financial reserves, Ad fees(if any), dealer prep(if any), etc. are commonly added after one would negotiate a "selling" price... and some of them like ad fees are the cost of doing business and I think the customer should never have to cover that... Just CYA.

I personally think that $23,500 OTD (destination included) is a great price for both parties on a vanilla GT. The dealer makes about 4% profit and the buyer doesn't get bent over with crazy dealer fees.
Then on top of that you'd have about $1500 in tax at 6.5% and whatever the title and lic. fees are in your state.

23.5k is like getting the car for 21k. Your not going to be able to get a GT for 21k, a CWP (+$200) for that matter. But good luck none the less.

My take was OTD pricing (to me) after their bs charges... but without down payment or taxes because they always vary.
We could be wrong. <---- sound like Golem there.

I think some are calculating it this way... which may be the correct way:
(final price) + (TaxTitleLicense) - (down payment) = OTD

Either way you calculate it... work on the final cost to you after all their BS and then add the things that we all must pay... taxes and state fees.

To restate, possibly correctly this time.
I think $23.5K + TTL is good price for a GT

Golem! Golem!

what dealer, and in what city and state was this at?

I'd say that's a pretty good price. They're probably gonna add on the destination charges (should be $635 or so). Take that + TTL and that would be a fair price.

Don't pay for processing fees of any kind.
