Is the MSP going extinct?

I know for sure that I've seen or read about at least ten wrecked msp's on this forum sense I've been a member and that's only sense July. I also seen one in a junk yard in Woodbridge that's been there for a while. I just think that it's possiple that as much as 20% of that 2003-03.5 models are scrap metal right now. How many did mazda make in the orange does anyone Know because I've seen about three or four of them crushed. I'm sure some of you have some stories.

Mine's dead. Rolled it down the highway into a tree after getting clipped in the rear quarter panel at 70mph, amazingly walked away (sort of). I'm still going to therapy because my back is severely messed up.

Replaced with a 2004 MSM (had to stay in the Mazdaspeed family). Almost bought a WRX though.

Depending on the amount I recover from lawsuits I may buy a used MSP. That won't be for a while though...the legal system is slow.
Damn, i didn't catch that thread the first time around. Sorry to hear, glad you're ok.

i just cried and cringed a little when you said you saw them get crushed...just seems they could be much better used as parts cars than scrap metal

I think the nature of this forum causes us to hear about it more when one gets wrecked. I'm sure there are quite a few on the road whose drivers have never heard of this forum.

That said, it's been months since I've seen another MSP around here.

45,000 on my 03.5 .. Still going strong. Had an accident a year and a half ago, $4500 worth of damages, but the MSP came out better than ever. Last summer was most of the cosmetic mods, and this coming summer will be when I start diving into the engine bay. So we'll see if I manage to blow anything up, heh.

I rarely -- and I mean RARELY -- see other MSP's when I'm up at school in central Pennsylvania. I can count on one hand how many sightings I've had in the past year, and on two hands how many sightings I've had in the three years I've been attending Penn State. Plus, I'm 99% sure that the sightings are of the same two MSP's over and over -- a silver, and a yellow.

I see a few more at home in the northeast Philly suburbs, but still no overwhelming amount. I've been home over the holidays for about two weeks now, and saw one -- and almost crapped my pants, I got so excited. And while at the NJ shore this past summer, I saw one within four months. That's it.

But yes. The MSP definitely has an exclusive factor to it that's just awesome. And it's even better to know that chances are, there is NO other car out there that's just like yours once you start modding your MSP -- your car is one of a kind. :D

there are a decent number of speeds around here, what i want to know is where are all the other silver speeds? I know of one other one in Ga, but I have never seen it, just saw him on the forum one time, we have a ton of yellow and titanium speeds, several oranges, two blacks, and 2-3 blues. In our small "click" we have 1 silver, 2 titaniums, 1 blue, 1 black, and 2 oranges
