Is the FC the only cheap (relatively) modern RWD left?

:
Mazda RX7 '87' & Hyundai Tiburon GT '05'
I'm just saying the 2nd gen RX7 looks like one of the last affortable RWD cars (Japanese imports atleast) for it's age. 240sx's, Miata's and Corolla GTS all seem to be over inflated these days in terms of price. All being bought up by kids these days that want to go drifting(pissed) . I've noticed the are a few RWD that haven't been inflated...yet. The FC3S is still one of them, I guess cause alot of people are afraid of maintaining rotaries, Another one is the Mitsubishi Starion, because no one know about it. The previous gen supra isn't too hard on the wallet either. What do you guys think?

P.S. I know the car are getting on in age but they are still "modern" for the most part. Even if some are older than I lol...

I'm not sure what price range your in for the 240SX. But I think NA 300ZXs (a bit heavier) and MR2's might still be reasonable. Depending on condition and mileage, prices for any 10-15 year old car will vary alot. But IMO, the styling from the 90's has aged pretty well.

what about those 911sc in the 80s? I am a friend of porsche and the 83-85 are the best built porsche ever. I know they are higher maintainance, but if you know how to work it, there are plenty of parts and the price is decent.

I hear you guys, I'm just saying prices on these have gone up instead of down, know what I mean?

define modern and define cheap :D you could get a decent first gen rx-7 for very very cheap and arguably those are more fun to toss around than a second gen ever will be. for a second gen, i'd love a turbo II but decent ones of those tend to command a pretty high price for a 15 year old car at best.

the miata is a great RWD platform, light, good suspension geometry and can make good power for cheap with a turbo.

Not super cheap, but you can get a good one in the ~5k range or less.

let's not neglect the 1 and 2 gen Mitsu eclipse/starion/talon.

AWD (the good ones :) ), light, 400hp at the wheels on stock internals... decent chassis for "da twiztiez y0!"

my friend found a 1988 FC for only $500 in Arizona. no rust, great condition. it was mostly garage kept and hardly driven. only had 90,000 miles on it. not bad for an 18 year old car!

holy s***....I would have bought that no questions asked

The older style 300Z is RWD and probably not too pricey.
