Is Nissan a bunch of Liars?

They're removing the launch control system for next year's cars.

i know that, but thats not what i meant.

In order to remove all warranty issues with the trans for the '10 models, they are removing the launch control, but i have no doubt in my mind nissan is doing R&D into revising a stronger tranny that w/ launch control to be released later on.

Probably in the Spec V model. They could just reprogram the transmission to have a more gentle engagement...that shouldn't be too difficult (compared to complete overhaul of the transmission).

im sorry most car manufactures to get those good times at the ring will resorte to stickier tires remaped computer better fuel and a great driver that had driven the ring a couple of times in the car before and they will try it a couple of times trying to get the best time... there is no officialness about it and come on the manufacture is claiming the time. o well

its not a claim, there a in car videos of the run.

did you not read the thread? both cars driven were exactly as you can get them from the dealership.

and the driver of the gtr did hundreds of laps of the track before they recorded it. He knew the track and he knew the car. plain and simple.

Autoeuphoria couldn't have said it better. Even the best drivers in world would have a very tough time posting similar times lap after lap on the ring. I have driven around the ring myself and it takes forrrreverrrr. Fun debate tho!

im refering to nissans claim of 7:29.03 and staiting so that any car manufacture can get braging rights they might resort to any of my said forms of deception among othere ways of getting aroung the ring faster. personaly i dont think the ring is that inportant of a measure of a cars abbilitys there are way too many variables.
