Is anyone planning to go the Indy Truck Bash in August?

I am coming down the 18th-21st for ITB with some folks from my husband's car club. Just wondering if I will see any Mazda's I just got one not too long ago and I like to get ideas when I go to the shows. Plus wondering about places to go and stuff to do while we are there.

Is that the "monster truck" rally type thing they have in August at the state fair grounds?

If so, I doubt you will see many Mazda's there, but you'll see plenty of mullets (rlaugh)

I pray that the mullets are at a minimum, I will not be a happy girl. (pissed) I found the site from last year finally, it shows that have competitions for Hydraulic, Drag Racing, Toyo Tires Burnout, Hightest/Lowest Riders, and Show & Shine awards for Imports and Trucks. Also, when we were down for the Lowrider show in April, I didn't get a chance to go out. Are there any decent spots to get out at? Just wondering.

That event looks pretty sweet, its not the one I was thinking of. There might be a few mazdas there, the one in Ohio only had one mazda in the show, I know there are a few rx-7's, miata's, and a couple protege's in Indy. It would be interesting to see whats out there.

As far as what to do and things like that....I live on the far north side of Indy and IRP is on the south side, so I don't get over that way too much, plus there are a lot more mulletts on that side of town, if you know what I mean..... (rlaugh)

I would stay somewhere downtown Indy, there are a bunch of hotels, it would be about 20 - 25 minutes away or so, and there is plenty of stuff to do downtown, bars, museums, malls, resturants, etc. Depending on where you stay, I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but the Hyatt downtown is connected to the mall, lots of bars and stuff within walking distance.

Good deal thanks, I started looking at hotels this weekend. The car we go with usually all tries to the stay in the same hotel, but they are never nice. After I go and I will try to post some pics. Thanks again!
