Hi folks, I just joined the forums because (Yep you guessed it) I am having a problem with my Son's Mazda Millenia S. I borrowed his car this morning because I am waiting for some parts to arrive for my Ford Tbird.
Anyway, I am driving along and then I hear a sort of metallic clunk or pop and then I have no transmission of power to the wheels. No Park, no reverse no drive. My local mechanic (I live is south Korea) came over and was at least able to (for the moment) confirm that the linkage/cable from the Shift lever was getting to the Transmission.
The car is in the shop but Mr. Lee has limits on what he can do because there is no Mazda Support here in Korea.
So before I get the phone call from him, what is a likely cause of the symptoms I just described?
As I mentioned above I am working in South Korea and am not new to Forums, in fact I admin one, just not Auto related. I hope that the top gun car guys here can shed some light on what is going on. I have some good sources for auto parts that ship to APO.
Thank you for time and efforts.
Regards,
Franklin
