i have been getting the car ready for this internet article. my boy is going to do on my car. Here i think everything is great until we did some final tuning on my car last friday 6-4-04. We found out after the intercooler that my car was insanely lean im talking 15 to 16 mark. Terrified about blowing my car up i posponed my dyno runs on saturday. Well in short i got a hold of a walbro 255 fuel pump. Wow what a difference, now not only am i rich but it changed my dyno numbers all together. Instead of running 229.4 hp im about 219 lost 10 hp im pissed about this. But this is the kicker my torque went from about 228 to 253 . im excited about this! the whole thing is i got my shop mechanic screaming down my throut not to boost the car cause in the top end of the rpm,s above 5500 im still lean. if anyboday out there can help me along i will take all the advice i can get. At the track that night with a crap load of humidity in the air i still pulled a 14.6 with a new high mile and hour of 104.11. I need new tires for the track bad they just came in but the mechanic showed up when i was there and chewed me a new a$$ for running. Here are my mods someone send me some help.

ngk 1 step colder plugs
3 inch no cat exhaust
joe p fuel cut defenser
greddy profec b boost controller
walbro 255 fuel pump
custom huge a$$ intercooler
greddy bov type s

after all this the article on my car is still going to go on you should see it in a week or 2 just have to take pictures of my car . Wish me luck on getting my 250 hp rating

You crank it DOWN to 15?

You do realize that with the stock turbo, it loses efficiency above 15psi, right?

Meaning gains by increasing boost are offset by losses due to heat generation

yeah i know the problem i have is my boost gauge fluctuates i dont try to go higher than 15 when i run.im also thinging oh getting the t28 for a step up when i finally control the fuel

somewhat offset by his self described huge i/c. The turbo isnt playing nicely above 15.. but a nice i/c core will keep the heat down enough to make gains possible.

No wonder he was getting 15:1 A/fs. im sure the walbro pump helped out, but he needs some 450s and a tune...

Yeah, get bigger Injectors...and possibly even add two. Also, I would be worried about your internals at 15+psi of boost.....but, not my car, so hey. Also, try the AEM ems...I believe it is Wagner who offers it for sale...it takes serious tuning to work properly...but if you got the time..and the money..it's definatly worth it. It will help you inporve, and maximize you fuel map, to get maximum HP. Just those two things, the Injectors, and the AEM will get you to 250 I would say...but if you can get ur hands on that T28(May I suggest the GT28R...works best without serious modding, only a few minor things)

Ah, so that's how you lean out our cars without EMS, crank the boost to insane levels and max the injectors! j/k, sounds like you got a good setup. I just hope the IC isn't too big, otherwise the pressure drop will offset the bigassness of it. And DEFINITELY invest in new internals. Your rods *will* bend at that boost level.
