Alright, I bought my car a few months ago and noticed it has some spots on the black cloth.

wondering if there are specific materials you guys use to clean up dirt spots etc. my only concern is to use a product that will bleach/blanch the area and result in a white spot/stain on the seat.

thanks.

i use all purpose microfibers from costco (those cheap yellow ones)

for the dash and plastics i use Megs APC+ diluted fairly heavily (cant remember the ratio at the moment)

For dressing i have both Megs Natural dressing (which lives a nice OEM matte gloss, not greasy and shiny like armor all)

I have an array of brushes for tight areas and vents.

For shampooing fabric and mats, i use Megs APC. Its a low foaming solution, so it wont leave a slimey residue like other cleaners. a stiff carpet brush, and as an extractor i use the Bissel little green machine.

same process as carpets.

although it sounds like you have a couple stains here and there, and dont need a full shampoo job.

a MF and some cleaner and some elbow grease should do the trick. Unless they are deep set in stains they should come out just fine.

make sure to go light on the cleaner. Just spray it on the cloth in fact should do the trick

I've had nothing but good experiences with the Blue Coral cleaners. They're like the Dow Scrubbing Bubbles, but for the auto...
It foams up to lift loose dirt; a quick scrub/reapply for stubborn spots, and a wet vac to remove.

Worked wonders on some of the used cars at a dealership I used to work for...
