The way I see it, if you aren't adding to the conversation (thread) you are blowing hot air. I just didn't think that the comment "added" anything to thread. nuf said.
I was just trying to show a successful implementation of the SAAB intercooler on a protege turbo project.
The way I see it; the tighter core is fed by the compressor side for max heat dissipation. This is dumped into the center tank and because the bar dimension differs, additional turbulence is created to mix the air prior to being sent down the larger freer flowing core to the intake. My own "backyard" thermal dynamics engineering. Sometimes, you just have to do with what you've got. The concept seems sound to me, then again, being in Canada, cold air is a bit of a commodity.
As far as turbo'd pro's, the additional 250 lbs difference and FWIR 200bhp is all I've seen on the 3rd gen. Where the BP has reached 399 on stock internals. I don't have anything like that power, but suffice to say, standard BPT motors running 13lbs do mid 13's in the Quarter. I have my BPT running 13lbs with a VJ-22 turbo (Mazda competition turbo from New Zealand) I think that I'd have a good chance.
