Intake Question!

Hey Quick Question, would it be ok if i just took the intake box out and put a cone on with a hold for the sensor, i had it on before, but before i leave it i wanna see if its ok, and there r no air leaks at all but it sounds alot better than the stock box

you should be fine. as for the sensor you can just let it hang next to the filter, thats what i did.

yup i did the same with the cone filter before i got my sri and just let the sensor hang... it'll be just fine

you could even put the sensor inside of the filter.

the problem witht hat is the rad fan... it shoots hot air directly into the cone filter.. below 75 F you will be ok.. but above 80-or 90 , it,s gonna start to show.. go ride around at those temps and then pop open the hood and touch the filter.. it should be very hot.. imagine whats the temperature of the air entering the engine.... sure the intercooler will take off part of the heat.. but it's way better to minimize the effects if you can.. i ordered a sillicone coupler reducer 2.75" to 3" and also bought a 45 degree 3" alu pipe.

i cut off the exess and used only what was necessary to put the filter downward for the hood to close and versy close to the head light.. so the fan does not push hot air on it as much.. that curec my idle when it was hot too.. i had a funny idling when the fan was on.
