Intake manifold runner stuck closed. (bank 1)

Hi MS3 family. i just got this CEL Intake manifold runner stuck closed. (bank1) 2 todays ago. i went to my personal mechanic and erase it. today the cel came out again. we took out the intercooler to check the intake manifold runner parts but he said that theres nothing wrong. does anybody have this issue before?

there was a recall for that back in 07. taking off the intercooler to check it out wouldn't do much though. You'd have to pull off the entire intake manifold. there are a quite a few bolts that are hiding though.

The shutter valve actuator can be replaced without removing the intake manifold or the intercooler.

take it in. mine did that in the winter months all the time. the fix took like 1 hour at my dealership, and it has been over a year and the light never came back.

you shouldnt try to fix a brand new car... bring it to your dealer. Warranty are there for that.

as mentioned previously, we late 06 - early 07 Mazdaspeed 3'ers in colder states had this issue. We also got to wait for parts to be available as it also affected CX7s. Once replaced, you gain back like 200ft lbs of torque down low heh. I peeled out leaving the dealer after the swap.

Thx for the help guys. i forgot to tell u my personal story. well im from taiwan but im working in el salvador (center americas little country.) so we dont have the MS3 neither sport racing cars here but the CX-7 and all the normal types from mazda of course. so i bought my MS3 in th US by a special shipment (3 weeks ago and love it ). we only have 3-4 MS3 here in el salvador!
well since saturday the CEL havent light on again. so hope it wont never come back!
and you are right swampass. my car was born on NOV-2006. (blue cosmic)
