Intake Manifold Bolts

Alright, so, I'm missing one of the bolts that secures the top plenum of the intake manifold to the head (the one on the right). However, I have tons of the bolts on the left from past projects, etc. They're exactly the same length, but the one on the left doesn't have the little extension thing at the end of the threads like the one on the right does. I'm wondering, would it hurt to use the one on the left to bolt the intake manifold to the head? Or would lacking the little extension thing cause problems?

that extension only makes it easier to get the bolt started. as long as the threads are the same, and you are careful not to cross-thread the bolt, it should be fine.
