It was an easy install. There are 2 coil packs that you'll see the wire's on, pull off of them (remember which wores were connected to which coil packs). Those are the wires you're replacing. The other ends of the wires run down into the head and contact the plugs. Use a simple twist and pull method to free them. Pull upward from the engine. Now just put the new wires in where you took these two out. Connect the wires back to the coil packs and you're done. Pretty easy install huh.
I'm doing this all by memory but I'm pretty sure that's how its done. If you need any other help let me know. I can go down and look at my car and help you out more. Good luck. And it's always great to do something to your car by yourself. It's a great feeling, so enjoy it.
Oh and as far as helping any, theres some that say it does. I was doing it hoping to get some better gas milage, not really for an increase in power or anything. And I don't really know if it helped or not cause I keep forgetting to reset my tripometer whenever I fill up. So I can't help you out there. Sorry.
EDIT: I edited this cause I put a cofusing line in there about needing a spark plug socket. that's only if you're changing plugs too. In you're post you only said wires so I fixed it as such.
