Installing an amp in my 2012 this weekend

I'm installing an amp in my 2012 5 this weekend. To those who have installed in amp in their 2012s, where did you ground the amp? I've been looking and really haven't found a good spot that is easy to access.

im pretty sure the rear seat is the same as the previous model

anyway if you remove your rear tool set cover you'll notice that the rear seat mounts have a hole that is not used
i basically removed some of the paint off with a flat head screw driver and used a m6 nut and bolt

for the remote i taped the rear cigarette lighter since its a switch 12v source

Thanks for the info. I ended up using a bolt that was holding up a hook in the rear of the car. I might switch my 12v power to the cig light like you did though.

You mean for remote power source, right?

Where are you guys placing your amps? Pics? Do you follow the "short as possbile" ground wire practice?
