Installed the spring on the WGA - now boost spikes

Guys,

I added the spring like others have done. Was running at 6 psi stock. Car is all stock.

I now have 1 step colder Autolite plugs in it for a little prevention. Cars seems to run a little smoother, too.

When I jab the go fast pedal, the boost spikes to about 7.5 or 8 psi, then quickly drops back down to the stock 6 psi. What's happening here?

What do I need to do to make it hold the 8 psi? It seems everyone else that does this mod gets a nice steady boost.

how cold is it? i get spikes when it' colder outside...

60deg F or so.

I had a nice steady 6psi before, I figured I would have a nice steady 8 psi like the others who have done this cheap and (supposed to be) effective mod.
