A CAP is a must have

The amp is running at 4 OHMS.

i guess it looks good if you want chrome flashy amps, but sorry man i'm just not feeling it. another forum i frequent that is a car audio forum refers to anything audiobahn as "audiobling" . and if your refering to a capacitor when you say a "CAP" , it's virtually pointless on your particular setup.

Doesn't look bad man...I will say that Audiobahn isn't my personal choice for subs, but to each his own...is it a 12...looks rather large...and if you like it and it meets your personal needs then that is all that matters...how much do you have invested in it right now...

It's sure its loud as anything. What about rear cargo room? How much does all that stuff weigh? I'm not too much of an audiophile but if you're enjoying it then thats all that matters.

I understand where you guys are coming from about the super flashy audiobahn stuff...which is why its hidden behind the box lol. Believe me its not my very first choice either, but i got this entire setup from my friend for under $300, A GREAT deal in my opinion. And just to clarify...I enjoy all types of music and thus listen to it in my car, but im not that big into super heavy window shattering bass. The amp is moderatly powered running at 4 OHMS going to a quality sub so that Its a nice crisp hit, but not one that makes my license plate fall off lol. I will admit though, that on my first drive after the install I got caught with my windows down singing no sleep till brooklyn at the top of my lungs. Boy that song gets me pumped!

Oh and that gargantuan box is going soon for something more practical.

LOL

No.. God no.

I mean.. I cant completely knock them, they accept pretty good amounts of power, and can shake your windows...But that's really about it.

There are better products in that price range that will produce better 'sound' for your money.

But hey, like you said, you got the whole system for Cheap.. so whatever.

What functionality did you lose by installing an aftermarket hu? I have a Kenwood ddx512 that I am debating installing in my new Speed3, but wonder what I will lose in the process. Specifically, what did you lose in the way of trip computer, AC/Temp readout, etc?

you lose the trip display, clock, and all the stuff on the left side of the screen. You DONT lose your climate control stuff on the right side. also you will lose your steering wheel controls unless you wire in a special harness which i decided not to do because its extremely easy to use the touch screen. Its definitely worth it. i mounted my turbo timer on the left part of that screen (in front of it) so that its not so empty.
