Installed MP3 struts and eibach springs but no front and rear end links

I have about 53K on it, and you had no problem, cause you living in ******* warm area?

They are noisy cause dirt can easily get into the rotating joint. They arent covered by a little rubber boot like the OEM.

It's a rear endlink in picture, but you can purchase front endlinks that look essentially the same from AWR.

When i had my JIC's installed, both rear endlinks broke. My installer said that broken endlinks are common in certain cars, even in Nissan Skylines (they have a Skyline, how cool is that?). It is not as big a deal as you might initially think. I had to drive without rear endlinks for a few days.

I replaced my broken rear endlinks with another pair of OEM endlinks. I heard the AWR ones are better but they can be noisy if you don't take the necessary steps to quiet them down. I think with an OEM swaybar the OEM endlinks should be fine, and with an aftermarket swaybar you should use the AWR, or similar quality one. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

yeah i moved here in summer 2003. i was at the "hooters" meet (that doesn't sound too good....). i'll come to the march meet if i'm free during that time. life has been kinda busy... I always have time to get my car fixed up but not always for meets.

where you at, Bijou?

I used to live at chicago until summer...but my school is at Iowa, but I will be in March meet~ so you better come :D

about the struts

i don't think there are any "upgrades" over the stock end links for the fronts. i heated mine to get them loose. of course the end links are ruined when you do this. i replaced with stock ones...$50 for the two of them. by the way tokico luminas are awesome!

how much did you get the struts for and did you feel a difference.

How do you like the combo? MP3 struts and Eibach springs.

Thanks

when I was working with ZMZMP5 today to install these(first time in my life)...

honestly, I don't like it that much... I love the looks on the car, but my car riding quality is too stiff for me.

thing on the end links, they very very common to go bad on protege's, and you should consider yourself lucky if you got em off without torching them off hehe, when i put my speed springs i managaged to get fronts off, after an hour, and buncha cuts on my hands, and rears ones i just said fook it and torched those off.

I ended up getting 2 of 4 end links off. Of course the two i saved gad to have their nuts cut off (lol) due to some crafty dremel work by yours truly. Just bought a few bigger nuts to go on there from Ace and they work perfectly. The other two, however, are cut in half due to an ignorant friend of mine who didnt know that the hole in the bolt is for a allen wrench. Now I have to either pay $50/pair stock or $80/pair ?sport? from the dealer. even the parts manager didnt have a clue what the 'sport' labeled ones improved b/c they didnt have the stock ones.

sooo......I'm either going to try to fabricate some of my own or fork out some serious dough that i dont have....

if you have a VERY QUICK solution for me, i'd LOVE to hear it. I dont want to drive without them for very long.....
