Injen or Downpipe

yeah I would go with the Intake first then when you have loot for your next mod think about getting a full turbo back setup or downpipe and catback. That way you can enjoy the sound of your intake while you save up for exhaust and then you will be ready for the extra hp that the exhaust will give you plus not to mention the badass sounds you will get from a nice exhaust system. just my $.02

exhaust and intake are easy to install and unistall for warrenty issues so you dont have much to worry about.

Wow, thanks for all the replies. I think I will go with the intake since it is cheaper and it sounds so good. I'll admit it, I would take the sound over the little extra power a downpipe will give me when compared to an intake, I just can't resist.

Thanks again,
Brandon

Didn't you know that they came out with LED's for the caps for your valve stems? Oh those net 1 hp a piece.

If anything at all I would do a downpipe

I went with the intake because it was the first bolt-on, won't kill your warranty mod that came out for the car. When I have the cash I'll get a full turbo back. And the intake on this car does help...the gains have been detailed over and over...10-15whp on dyno runs. And yes...it sounds great. The DP alone gets you right around that but costs more...that's why I'd personally suggest the injen.

I'd go with the downpipe, although the injen was my first mod. I have my downpipe and front mount sitting here in my room but haven't got a chance to put them on yet. Anyway I couldn't feel any difference from putting the intake on, only sound. But its your car so do what you want, who am I to tell you what to buy or not to buy.

Why are you acting so freakin' ignorant?!?! Here's a few things to ponder:

1. It's his car and he can do whatever he likes...just like you can to yours. We don't live in ******* communist China.

2. The intake will net at least 10whp which is noticable...the DP won't do much more than that. And if you plan on going with a full turbo back later the DP is a waste of money.

3. He's not buying an intake and expecting 30hp gains...he's expecting to free up turbo flow and spool faster. He's not putting stickers on his car and expecting gains. i fail to see how spending money on a legitimate engine modification classifies him as a ricer.

Just buy what works for you. The injen is cheaper and you seem to be leaning towards that than go for it.
