I've only played a litle bit of the arcade version (at Speedzone), but this was before I accually was the series. Now that I have seen Stages 1-4, I have a better Idea on how to drive. Rism?

I love the Stage 4'f FF tip. Its weird feeling in the MSp. ANyways if anyone else looks to buy these DVDS go get the Inital D Box set battles 1-5

I play quite a bit, I have 2 cards. I drive a 86 toyota trueno ae86, and a Toyota Altezza RS200 "is300" anyways, the toyota is definitely much quicker off the line, and better on the courses with lots of turns. The 86 trueno is great on "AKINA" and "AKAGI", its actually the best car to race on AKINA's downhill course. I play a little too much lol. Anyways, what car do you drive? most people just mash on the gas pedal and try to turn and expect their car to "drift" its way throughout the corner, when actually, you have to use your brakes quite a bit.

I say about 2 seconds before you actually hit the corner where it turns sharply, slam on your brakes and let off the gas, THEN downshift and floor the gas, and your car should respond quite well. The game itself is pretty easy to play, it all depends on how you respond with your vehicle, every car is different, i can take my friends fast ass skyline with bad turning, and beat any car out there, while if i use my TRUENO i can beat the skyline anyday just because of the technique involved lol, most think its just a game... it really hooks you in man, just keep playing, you'll soon understand what i'm saying about technique and all.

the initial d game is awesome i have a card with a silvia and over the summer i was on a cruise and they didnt take/usa cards so i played with an rx-7 and well its amazing the new fd though...good power and good balance it works well with the hard coarses because of the balance

i play alot too. i have many cards but my main one is a evo 3 and a cappacino.
its a very fun addictig game. i also know a place i play for 50 cents. used to be a quarter for thanksgiving weekend.
supposedly the number 1 car in the game right now in the rankings is a rx8 and second is rx7.

where i play every now and then when i go to nyc its a $1.50 or $1.25 a play i cant remember...but i think its worth it because its an actualy racing game that requires thinking, timing, and and skill...somewhat...it took me a long time to finally "know" how to "drift" in the game and it isnt easy...i usually left off the gas a lil let it slow down....brake and give it 1/2 gas through most of the turn and at the end punching it to recover...it all depends on the car though that seems to work for the silvia and rx-7 and i think its because they are somewhat heavy...miatas are nice and the ae86 also cappacino's are good but have lil power at first so it sucks :( same with miata but this is just my 2 cents

The RX8 IS the best car in the game, it owns in the snow, and is a great handling car. Its very fast when the modifications are done, but what really makes the car fast, is the driver, if you know how to drift, and use the different advantages of each car, you'll win for sure. Its 1 dollar where i live, which isn't bad, I hate playing against the computer, its much more fun racing others.

i played gt4 in tokyo and it owns initial d!!

well i never knew about the anime series until a year ago and its what kinda got me hooked on drifting...i dont drift because i dont have the skills to but i hope to take classes one day...and the game i played was in nyc in some arcade...ct isnt full of arcades YAY :(

Yea I have a rx7 spirit R with about 900,000 points on it. I own everyone im my arcade and dont play much anymore since single player has gotten boring.

In Version 2 I had a battle level 15 with a big blue aura on my trueno. It was full tune too but I used 4 course to bring my points down so people wouldn't be afraid to race me as much. It costs $2 a game down here tho! Frickin rip off.

I really don't see how the RX-8 is the best car in the snow. Anybody that knows how to drive an AWD car in the game will definitly own any other in Akina snow. Also for the game, knowing how to drive is somewhat important but the big thing in version 3 is start up. Most 6 gear cars own since they have faster startups and are able to get in front from the start. After that its just a matter of blocking the oponent.

The RX-8 is a good car to battle with tho since it does have a good startup. The only other cars that I can remember that have a faster startup is the S15, Miata, Altezza, and GDB

I have a 17 mr2, and a 16 altezza, with a level 7 rx7 right now. I played for a good while. I had a 29 cap in version 2, but while I had my card on the machine, someone took it while i wasn't looking.

i got a evo3, spirit R. hehe i own in akagi but I hate when u max out your card u gotta buy a new one, freakin rip. I don't play id much anymore, you guys ever tried Battle gear 3? now thats real drifting skill lol. Maximum Tune is really good game too

Anyone ever play Initial D Mountan Vengence on a PC? I loaded this game last night, and tried to play. This will take some getting used to on the real!!!

Gotta copy u can upload? I wanna try it but i'm too lazy to find it.

Also where do u guys get the game cards from? i'm thinking about buying a initial D machine.

uhh you have around 10k for a machine? sweet, can I come over? :) just pay the extra 6k for the twin machine.

Usually where ever you buy the machine, you can order the cards from them aswell.
