Just curious but is it possible to go over a gutter by controlling the weight transfer? In my head it actually makes sense but realistically I think its a bunch of crap.
 
It kinda makes sence. If the 86 really reacts that way handling wise if you accelerate constantly you could control the weight of the car so it's all on the other 3. It makes sence as long as that car's suspension would truly react that way....I think...
 
The car was tuned to squat on the rears when accelerating. The mx stacked it because its tight suspension was set up for drift so it couldnt squat and the front went down.

Makes sense. You have to be nuts to try it. Takumi is good because he has an excellent vehicle sense. Thats what he has over every other racer he has ever gone against.

Can't wait for next eps.
 
why are the videos labeled 'Initial D', when the team is called 'Project D'

Only watched the 1st and 2nd one so far but I really liked the guys attitude that rolled his FR.
 
I think we should update this thread as more episodes come out. Our own official Initial D thread.
 
It is called Initial D since it is building off of the orginal series, this is the next step they took of which the orginals were building up to.
 
what are you guys using to play the files? I used Quicktime, RealPlayer and even Winamp and I dont get any picture.
 
windows media player. you prolly need a codec to watch it. not sure which one. i have the xvid and dvix codecs and they play fine.

the show is called initial D. this is the 4th stage... stage 1 was a 26 episode full season show, stage 2 a half season 13 eps, stage 3 was a movie, and stage 4 is a TV show again :)
