Outline of the Infraction System<O></O>
<O></O>
Step 1: Warnings<O></O>
- Any member that has not yet received any infractions may be issued a WARNING, which is an infraction that has no point value. However, if a member's behavior is inappropriate enough, a warning DOES NOT have to be issued -- a direct infraction may be given.
<O></O>
Step 2: Infractions<O></O>
- Any member that has received a prior warning will receive an infraction for any further misconduct, as well as any member that has disregarded the Forum rules. Each type of infraction has a different point value, as outlined in the list below, and these points expire after a certain amount of time which also varies.
--> Insulted Other Member(s): 1 point, expires in 15 days.
Treat each other with some respect, please. Anything outright rude or obnoxious qualifies.
--> Signature Rule Violation: 1 point, expires in 15 days.<O></O>
If your signature does not follow the rules outlined here.
--> Inappropriate Language: 1 point, expires in 15 days.<O></O>
Excessive use of foul language. We all know where the line is.
--> Posted Nudity: 2 points, expire in 30 days.<O></O>
This is not a pornography site! Keep all photos on an appropriate level.
--> Instigating Drama: 3 points, expire in 60 days.
Any intentional attempt to cause a flame war, rile members, or just behaving like a troll.
--> Blatant Disregard of Forum Rules & Policies: 3 points, expire in 60 days.<O></O>
Self-explanatory. Anyone that openly makes posts and/or threads, or behaves against the rules and regulations of the Mazda Forums as listed here.
--> Spammed Advertisements: 5 points, never expire.<O></O>
This is in existence to be used ONLY for 'members' that come onto the forums for the specific intention of drowning us in random advertisements. If you’re taking the time to read this post, then you won’t have to worry about ever receiving these five points.<O></O>
Step 3: Temporary Banning<O></O>
- Accumulation of ten points results in a 3-day ban. Users that have been temporarily banned are usually watched upon their return, and if their behavior is still inappropriate (or has worsened), a permanent ban may be issued.<O></O>
<O></O>
Note:<O></O>
- When infraction points expire, they no longer count against you and no longer count towards your ‘accumulation’. However, a record of all past infractions (both active and expired) are listed under a user's Personal Profile.<O></O>
<O></O>
But what if I don't agree with a warning and/or infraction that I got?<O></O>
- If you have any concerns regarding an infraction you have received by a moderator, feel that it was unwarranted/erroneously given, or feel that a Moderator is abusing the system -- contact the Admins & Super Moderators immediately! Send a PM directly to all Administrators & Super Moderators -- Antoine, jersey_emt, katsmp3, Kooldino and LinuxRacr. Please be sure to include all relevant PMs and posts involved.
- Please be aware that Admins & Super Moderators have a 'custom infraction' option that can be used against the regular Moderators. We ARE held accountable for our actions.
