I'm very confused

So tonight one of my headlight burned out. No big deal right? Go to an auto parts store and buy a new bulb.
Yeah, not so much.

So I go to Walmart cause it was the first store I saw that might have headlight bulbs after I noticed it burn out (I saw it when it popped). Their little computer thing was no help and we couldn't find a bulb that looked like the one I pulled out of the car, so I kept driving. Went to Autozone, but their parts computer was down (que?) and again, couldn't find any bulbs that looked like mine. Finally I stopped at Advance Auto, they gave me an H7 bulb and tried to send me on my way, but it didn't look right. We went outside and tried it, and it didn't fit. The prongs on the new bulb were too narrow and wouldn't go into the slots on my harness, so I drove home and am now typing this.

The OE bulbs are still in the car, they've never been touched, and the harness has sure as hell never been messed with, but for some reason the proper bulbs dont fit. I'll try and take a picture of the stock one and post it up whenever I find my digi cam, but does anyone have any idea what might be going on after reading the description?

LMAO I did just that at autozone! Luckly I caught it right after I threw it away. Anypointers in gettign that new bulb in? I can't seem to get mine in right.... (I prefer the oints that twist in)

Do you put the H7 bulb in first then snap that clasp on then insert the adapter on top on it all??

Remove rubber boot
Pop the tension clip
Remove old bulb
Take adapter off old bulb
Put adapter on new bulb
Insert new bulb
Latch tension clip
Put on rubber boot

when i got a cheap pair of bulbs of eBay, I sent them back for a refund because I told the guy they were the wrong bulbs...Later I found out I just needed to take the black adapeter off....D'OH!!!

haha, yea it happens.
but yea the bulb just fits right into the black adapter then it all goes back in the assembly.

i really dont like changing our headlight bulbs (especially the passenger side) theyre a PITA

The one thing I've learned about replacing burnt out bulbs is if one goes even if the other one is still good, replace them both cause within a month the other one will go anyways lol, it's probably only me this happens too but I find it's a good rule of thumb.
