Tasca is the real deal
I met Bob Tasca when I worked for Ford launching the 2002 Explorer (when the big generation change). He came to the plant in St. Louis and blasted us for using cheap-looking plastic around the bumpers and wheel arches. He 'customized' all of his Explorers with upgraded or painted bumpers and made even the low end vehicles look good.
The guy knows what customers want, and the auto makers do to, but he's willing to put the extra cost into it to satisfy even the low end XLS trim buyers.

I havent driven it enough, but I expect to see at least 1 mpg added, my car, especially on the highway really really pulled and i would think that freeing up that tension will let this glide much more smoothly
2. They sey they couldnt reproduce the sound. I havent heard it either. My guess is something with the toe control might have been what i was hearing in terms of the alignment and maybe something coming from that. Who knows, but im still listening.
3. My dealer informed me they have been doing "custom" (secret) spec jobs on customer requests for the CX-7. My tech told me the grille from the fusion (the chrome bars) they have been modifying into the 7, as well as the bottom honeycomb grille too, with chrome bars. They have also been doing the wheels dipped in chrome. They said they would do anything i want lol. So it was nice to know. I told them i wanted a cold air intake and a better air filter, and said that as far as i knew there werent any specific cx-7 parts avail yet, they said theyd have no prob modifying them from a 3, 6, or miata etc. Wow, so i wonder if they do all this work, my car is safe under warranty cuz its dealer work. Sounds pretty interesting. This is the largest dealer in my state w/a few locations. They are good. www.tasca.com. They have a shop dedicated to tricking out cars on request. I like that cuz i dunno, it feels safe because its dealer work. For real good custom work, those garage shacks i just dont trust.
