I'm so embarrassed

I changed the belts a month ago an now I get a stupid belt squeel when the car is cold. It goes away after about a 1/4 mile of driving but I feel like the whole world is looking at me. Do I need to tighten or loosen them?

BTW, I just bought my neighbor's 200SX SE-R. I'm not sure why I did this. Great car, corners and brakes well but I have no need for a 3rd sport compact.

you might try lubing that bad boy up. mines does this every so often when it rains.

tighten them up. belt dressing is not necessary, it's only a bandaid

yeah but it helps keep the belts from dry rotting and cracking
