I'm new to the forum and looking for some parts

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum. I drive a white protege5 and the only mod i've made is a custom ram-air induction. I'm looking for exhaust soon does anyone have any ideas. Please post links and ideas. I'm also looking for some body mods like a front air dam possibly or a carbon fiber wing. I dunno...just whatever you guys have post it.

as for the exhaust...there are quite a few differnet brands out there for our cars...as noted above the racing beat...there is also HKS...Bosal...and a few others....

look up into the upper middle of the page, you will find a button labeled SEARCH....put in exhaust and have a good time reading all the posts on the subject...you will find ALL you are looking for there.

Silly question, perhaps, but I'm still curious. Does "cat-back" have any special meaning to it? Acronym? Pseudonym? Any other-nym's? Thanks!

cat back mean catalitic converter back. basically, everything from the catalitic converter back is replaced. there are also axle back systems. these are shorter and usually more expensive. the mazdaspeed exhaust is an example. to the guy looking for and exhaust. if you are daddy warbucks, go witht he JIC Magic, that is full titainium. also, Greddy is comming out with one for our car in the future. might want to check out ebay. there is a new system out made by a company in canada that looks really nice. besides the ones i named, you have bosal, borla, skunk2, racing beat, mazdaspeed, team moon, thermal R&D, and i am sure i missed atleast one-i did miss one HKS. sorry

Wow another Mississippian. I have a black P5 and live a couple of hours southwest of Tupelo.

Others recommended the racing beat exhaust. You can also buy a performance muffler from the dealer (accessory). There are a few reviews of exhausts and mufflers on this board.
