Im new, got a clunk_ what size is the rear bar on a stock mp3

the clunk is caused by the bushings, not the bar itself 99% of the time. The bushings can be gotten at the mazda dealer. The size of the rear bar IIRC is 17mm. 19mm and 21.5 mm aftermarket ones are available.

the stock is 19mm, i used 20.5 energy polyurethane rear sway bar bushings and modified the brackets and guess what NO MORE CLUNK!! and the car handles flatter than ever.

Funny, I was always under the impression that it was 20, and the front 25. The speed has a 27 front

I've seen several references to this, and this one is from the Spec sheet from Mazda's USA site that I saved on my PC years ago. A Protege ES, and P5 have 19's don't they?

No..the p5 is 17mm rear. The racing beat rear sway was 20mm and that was what the mazda parts manager told me. Clunking is so annoying..I wanna kill my car now.
