I'm getting a Promotion

Not that anyone cares, but for the past few months I've been working at DKNY as the Assistant Manager with no store manager above me and anyone that has ever worked in a retail clothing store knows how tough it can be. Corporate finally took notice to me busting my ass in there and they've decided to officially promote me to store manager. That means that I'm recieving a very nice increase in pay and you all know that an increase in pay means.......modding will commence soon. Ok, I'll shut up now.

Congrats man!! I'm glad you could get recognition for your work, and also a big promotion!! it's good to hear that those kind of things happen...Greg was at Motorola working as a team leader for 2 years and when the supervisor left, he was handling all of those responsibilities as well. But they never gave him any recognition for it in the end (not even a raise! they had a freeze for 2 years!!!:mad: ) they just gave him the boot when they started laying off. Now they are in trouble in that dept because they have no one to run it and are steadily demoting supervisors, so even if there were candidates for the job, they are getting rid of them all!! a

anyhoo...I used to work there. But it's all good now, because Dell is the best!!

Thanks for replying. I think I'll wait till Tein releases their coilovers if they're not already out yet. Then maybe the Bronze Rays Gramlight 57F or Bronze TE-37's. I hope to have them by the end of the summer, both of those combined are going to cost a lot and I'm gonna try not to use credit cards.

DKNY is cool.

During the '94 World Cup I was out looking for a cool shirt or piece of clothing that had a nice '94 World Cup label. Something durable too. No one made anything that looked like I could wear and keep as a souvenir at the same time without having to wear it out.

One day, I went in to DKNY with a female friend and saw this awesome '94 World Cup logo long sleeved shirt (sort of like the type hockey fans wear all over the place). I snagged it immediately since it was the last one on the rack (I think it was on discount at the time). It also had a number nine on it, which at that time I thought it was the number Meola wore. Turns out it was midfielder, Ramos' number (shows you how much I knew about USA's team! ). It's a cool winter wear anyways, DKNY rulezzzz! (even though mostly women shop there!)

Last time I spoke to some of the other Store Managers who moved up just as I did. Their income increased as much as $4k and that's not including bonuses when you achieve your goals for the month. Which my store has been doing for the past 2 months, but I didn't get a bonus since I wasn't store manager. So, if I'm lucky I'll get the same.

Yes, a lot of women shop their, but the majority of the ones I've run into are pretty attractive.

Good to hear APEXI, meanwhile, my boss informed me early monday morning that my assignment is up, and that I will be out of work in a few weeks.

It's all good though, SUMMER OFF!!
