2015 Mazda5, 2018 CX-5, 2024 CX-90
I love our 2024 CX-90 Preferred Plus MHEV, purchased June 2023, but it has been out of service for three major repairs over 90 days while under warranty for the following:
In April I contacted Mazda corporate to ask them to buy back the car so we could purchase a newer CX-90 without first-year issues. After poor follow up by multiple reps over 3 months, today they finally called and said all they can offer is "employee discount pricing" on a newer model (actual discount is up to the dealer) and a normal trade-in.
I'm furious and will be taking my case to our state's Lemon Law arbitration board after giving our dealer a chance to go to bat for us one last time.
- Defective hybrid battery replaced
- Defective steering rack replaced
- Oil leak at turbo that required engine removal
- Plus the numerous other software recalls/updates, including cruise control braking, steering gear/spring, groaning front end, and blind spot false alarms
