'03 spicy orange MSP
Well I just wanted to say hi, I'm about to buy a orange '03 MSP, with 5k miles for $16,200. Although I'm not really thrilled with the color but I'm sure it will grow on me.
This is to replace my previous car that I dearly loved that came to an early demise at the hands of my sister, it was a '95 Ford Probe GT, good car... *sniff*

once again "hi"

Welcome to the site & CONGRATS on your MSP! Orange is a great color, just watch out because it attracts all kinds of attention (good & bad).

I'm at Ft. campbell, KY I'm in the army and that's where I'm stationed, but I call home kansas, which is actually where I'm buying the car :)

Welcome! You can find someone from just about any part of the country on here in one of the forums or another. I am in Arizona and there are a bunch of people on here from that state. Check around the forums especially the regional ones and you will probably find some one near you.

Yah know reading around the forum kinda scares me it seems like people have alot of problems with there MSP's especially for such new vehicles... is that just the wrong impression?

I've had just about every problem with my speed except for the 2 major ones (hesitation & clunk) & I still love it. Most of the stuff is easily fixed by the dealer or DIY. My opinion is that the MSP is a great car with a lot of potential, most of which is unleashed by correcting all of the little "problems" with mods. (thumb)

best car for anywhere near the price, i dont really know what to say bout you not liking the color-- im sure a lotta members on here would trade u :-D

Of course it still looks like a neon....

Haha, then it looks like he doesnt really have to worry about the "bad" attention too much, he is in the army... they very rarely get tickets...congrats on the car, and welcome to the forum, if orange was available brand new i probably would have gottten it.

Hey, congrats on the new car.. MSPs are great, and the issues people have are minor, and most dealers are hassle free.
Also, just about ANY new car has issues, thats why we have warranties.

I hope to see you out at the KYR or CKR autocrosses.
Next event is april 4th.

Search for KYR or CKR for more info.
At todays event at UPS there were 3 MSP's running, and i attended.
Hope to see you out!

We can outhandle them on the track or in auto-x, we have better looks, & if you check the MSP forum, you'll see someone made it to 13s with 3 big mods.

Welcome! Be sure to become familiar with the 'sticky' threads at the top of this section. They contain a great deal of good information.

did u buy the car already. thre is a orange MSP on ebay for 15,000 buy it now with 3000 miles on it. Located in north carolina.

well it's pretty much final, I put down 500 on it via my check card, I'm awaiting loan stuff through the mail, once I get that all signed and sent back in I'll just have to drive home to pick her up, I can't wait :)

here are the details of the final deal

I got a '03 spicy orange MS protege with 5,306 miles for 15,999
paying $999 up front with a loan for the rest at 5.2% APR

not bad eh?

BTW: how does the warranty work? is it still good for a 2nd owner? what are the variables on that?
