Illinois State Beach Pics

it costs a bit of money but anna if you did it... i think it would look badass. If you want all the part numbers I have them, and Aric can look up pricing.

holy waste of money batman!

Yeah but looks nice as hell. But, you can never truly replicate the original. I could definitely see you in one though.

Well not to be nit picky but you could. That however, would be a big waste of money with the prices that they are charging on slightly used MSPs. As far as the body goes the only things I dont have are the things that I didn't want. Fully colored mirrors, satin badges, and fog lights. And I thought about doing a full interior change but decided that the seats and the black decklid were enough. Eh....

So then it is definitely cheaper to buy a used msp then to convert a late 3rd gen pro into one? Makes sense but is it really worth it fam? I guess if you really like your car and you have the money....

well for one reason I did my conversion.... I bought my car when the first 03 MSP came out so around my area MSP's were near 21K dollars. 2. I never see silver MP3's driving around, unless I'm at a meet and I still have yet to see one. 3. I got most of my parts at a discount. 4. I still owe money on my car because I took my sweet time with the 0% financing. So back then it wasnt so bad... but now.. I would have just paid my car off and bought an MSP, especially with all the aftermarket support compared to then. And if I did, it would have to be spicy orange.

Probably but I guess it's better the breather filter fill with oil than the oil continue down the hose and go back into the intake right?

it was designed to breathe that way from the factory. if oil is being forced through that hose into the intake you have far more serious problems

yeah ... that's what i was thinking.

I think it'd be cool. But if I were going to convert to an msp, I'd turbo it first. or do manual first one of the two lol.

though I would tend to agree w/Joe - probably better off just buying an msp. Though I know it's not like you've got tonz of moneyz.

Hey Steve this is going to be a stupid question but is the msp only available in manual. If it is that sucks cause all the mean supercharge cars available today are manual and i can't drive them. But then I thought that the RX-8 was only manual but my mom went to the dealership and one of the guys there said that they do have it in automatic? Also, turbo + automatic = ?

msp and mp3 are only available in manual, yes.

RX-8 is available in auto. Jose had one.

Turbo + automatic in many cases = death. Unless you try to beef up the tranny. But I'd rather just put in a manual than deal with possible f-ups in the auto tranny anyways.

There's a sticky in the FI section IIRC by Pirana that details problems of turboing an auto.

learn stick.

I am going to have to dex (Bryan?) if I am ever going to own a turbo charged vehicle I guess. Stick just seems like a pain in the ass. I don't know i guess eventually I need to learn. (wrc) Shouldn't be that hard? I learned to ride a bike.

I'd gladly learn stick if I had the opportunity to do so. I've been seriously thinking about just buying a $500 POS lately just for that reason.

its not hard. I used to be against manual for the longest time.... until I learned how to do it. Protege=my first manual car.

yeah I know it's not hard. But I'm not about to go and spend 15-20k on a new car just to learn stick either :). Nor can I really tear out the tranny on my daily driver and put a manual in.

So you see my predicament hehe.

This is my 3rd manual car. My first was a 90 civic hatback, 2nd was my sweet 92 jeep wrangler and now the MSP

::sob:: I've been dying to learn stick but everyone I know has funky modified cars and Aric's car doesn't like other women

I've been cruising autotrader looking for a manual to learn on, everyone is asking too damn much! So, a friend of mine was going to junk his Saturn TwinCam, told me he'd sell it for $100 to learn stick on. The thing runs fine except for intermittent dying of the engine, but it starts right back up. Hope that won't be too bad to fix...
