IK22 Pre-set Gap?

:
Mazdaspeed Protege 2003.5
I ordered a set of IK22's from Sparkplugs.com and the gap came in at .711 and they should have been at .32. Has anyone else experienced this? It says to be careful with gapping them but if you don't touch the electrode than I'm sure it would be ok, right? Thanks for any info.

Whoa, that's a massive gap. I've never had NGK plugs come without the gap being right to the specs.

Why is it that the OEM gap is 0.032 but the OEM plugs are NGKs with a part number that ends in "11" (1.1mm or 0.04 inches)? I've been running mine at the 1.1mm gap, should I regap them down a bit smaller? How would I know if 0.04 was too large a gap? I don't have any noticeable misfiring or anything.

That is the exact link I ordered from and they are not .32. I guess I have to call sparkplugs.com or email them to see what the deal is. I am nervous to gap these myself because they say that the iridium is brittle or something.

Weird, I've ordered them at least 2 different times from that link and they were a perfect .032. Incorrectly gapped batch maybe?
