Ignition Coil

Hey Guys, I need you input here.

Ignition coils for 99 Protege 1.6L fits 00 to 2003.
They cost around 60 bucks to 110 bucks.
Ignition coils for 01 Protege cost 30 bucks.

So would it be "smart" to buy a 01 ignition coil for my 99??
