Your statement cannot be more wrong. The stock auto tranny can take up to 8 psi on the stock MSP turbo especially if tuned right and if the valve body is upgraded to the Lentech one. Bazooka Joe is a perfect example of this. He has been running a turbo kit on his automatic P5 for close to 50k miles with no problems. There are other turbomatics out there as well that have had just as much success. I'm auto and going turbo in a week. There is a LOT of research you can do on the auto tranny's capabilities and even a fully built automatic transmission you can buy that come in various stages handling various power levels.

For an auto, I don't believe this is a good kit at all. Tuning problems would arise and I think the boost is just a tad too much for the automatic tranny to handle. If you have any questions about boosting your auto, send me a PM and I'll help you out.

Well this kit uses a supercharger, not a turbocharger. This means that the only way to change boost levels is to put on a different pulley which would require you having someone engineer and fabricate a pulley to the specifications you want. Being auto, I would say start reading a lot of the turbocharging threads in the 3rd gen forum and slowly begin acquiring parts. A stock MSP turbo would work best and the best tuning for the auto is done via Begi FPR and o2 voltage clamp.

so about how much more horsepower does this add?
is it about the same as a turbo would add?
and although this removes the ac will i still have heat?
im def thinkin bout gettin this but am still iffy or thinkin bout gettin a turbo kit.
with this kit, i can have it to where i can flip a switch and bam theres boost?

im workin on da money, i will have it VERY SOON!!!!!
jus want to know eveything about it befor i jus spend 1200 on somethin ya know

Hp wise, I would think that 12psi would add the same amount of hp a turbo would at 12psi. I don't KNOW this, but thats how a figure and 12psi is a lot. Msps are 6/7psi stock and they have 170 so I'm guessing 12psi would give you well over 200hp.

I think you might still have heat, just cause the motor puts off a lot of heat but I don't know this either, just seems like thats how it would work.

Why would you want to have a kill switch? I know you can't do this to a turbo so I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to do it to a supercharger either.

kill switch? i ment like a switch where when i flip it on, the supercharger turns on or somethin? i think i read somewhere in the thread where it said that but i jus wanted to comfirm it.

Thats what a kill switch is, a switch that will turn the ablility to work on and off. I have a kill switch on my car.

well its different in that it runs from the motor. meaning when your at 2000 rpms you may only make 3-4 psi. then when your tords red line your making closer to 12 psi. so youve just got to watch it. i may be wrong idk

the power gains will be more then an msp, cuz your getting a little more boost and a better tune.

you will still have heat!!

the supercharger has a electric clutch, so yes you will have a 12v switch to turn it on and off.

Well there you go. lol.

I also wasn't saying you'd get the same as a msp, I was just using it in comparison.

that is with a centrifugal supercharger, belt driven turbo

this Eaton is a positive displacement supercharger so you can get the 11 psi at 2000rpms can't say your keep traction though (headbang)

well since i will prob be runnin it on a stock block with no forged internals, how much psi can i run? or does it not matter cause its a supercharger? also if it can run up to like 12 or so psi can it be tuned so i can run a safe amount and still floor it?

thanks for the lesson. ive been learned!!! yaaaaaa!
