Get a real job adam, I'd like to see you grabbing turbo parts. :)

oh lol. My bad. thought you were talking to me lol.

Haha, its cool. I know you're smart enough to of done all ur research already, especially with turbo going in next week, so its not even a question in my mind (thumb)

Alright let's end the threadjack lol. To whoever is thinking abotu buying this kit, do it. If you're on the fence, visit the OP's cardomain site and check out how much research and fabrication went into the kit. Then look up the cost of a supercharger and a meth kit. It's a hell of deal

im def workin on gettin the money
lol im pretty close
im sellin my dirtbike to get this kit
i have a guy comin to look at it and hopefully he will get it
if he does, im jumpin on this!!!!

A Eaton M62 can be had for under $400, rebuilt from the factory (0 miles). Meth kits can be easily made for under $200. I was strongly considering this kit, but the price just isn't right IMHO. Then again, I'm cheap. This is no way meant to disrespectful to the seller, I just don't see how this is such a awesome deal. M62's are a dime a dozen, craploads of 3800 series motors out there to source from.
With that said, LMK if you can sell the Meth stuff. Sorry for the slight threadjack and GL with the sale.

The fact that the supercharger was customized to fit which included, cutting, grinding and welding, the pulley is custom designed and milled, the kit is fully complete, and the fact that it is made for the FS is what makes it worth the price. Most people don't have access to a lathe, let alone have the know-how or connections of someone that could custom make the pulley alone.

The pulley is only useful if you're planning on running the estimated 12psi it produces. I wouldn't run that on a stock block, and would be weary of tranny damage due to the low end torque and constant boost that a roots charger produces. Like I said, I'm cheap when it comes to USED parts. Things that are priced well on this forum tend to FLY out the door, so I'm not sure why this is still here then.... Regardless, I too would like to ssee omeone run this and chime in later.

I agree that it is a little high but you have the meth there to help a bunch and the fact that he's been running it on the same engine basically for quite some time makes me believe that the kit is reliable and safe.

12psi is a PERFECT world, no leaks anywhere. the most I have gotten on it was 9.5psi. I know I had some leaks and like i said about the throttle body issue. also superchargers are a little different, as the throttle increases your boost increases, so you can partial throttle 7psi or WOT 11psi.

a turbo wants full boost asap

I am glad people are moving toward getting this, for a while I thought it was dead

i'm gonna have to disagree with you... a turbo makes partial boost on partial throttle as well... i have a peak on my boost gauge... and driving "normally" to work, I make about 3psi peak, of a 7.5 or so available, including freeway driving.

but not below 3000rpms right? I thought he was worried about making 10psi to low and hurt the transmission because of instant power

Price it out?
good eaton 400
megasquirts 200
water injection 180
overdrive pulley 50 for raw material

thats 830 right there

so for 370 your getting pluming, clambs, mounting brackets and bolts and my time for making the overdrive pulley

and this is not a good deal?

i still say its a deal...

you have a point, basically, if you want your trans and rods in one piece you need to keep outa the throttle below 3000rpms... or set the charger to not engage til after that (sophisticated electronics...) or go with lower boost.

now we all know the turbo will ruin an stock auto tranny. For anyone out there that has thought about this and done the research can you give me more info on how this will affect my stock automatic tranny please
