i want to jdm my msp

yeh, my roots are with camber im buildin a ls400 drift car next year hopefuly.....19in volks and dropped like shiat custom wide body to follow

i wanna put some rota slpstream or 5zigen fcro1 (forget the number code on my msp one day.....engine is first on the list thou

whoa... do u have alot of money or something? haha, damn IS400 is already expensive and now ur drifting with it? WITH VOLKS!! man... its a dream to me... all the guys here have FCs and MR2s most are all bashed up. Its all chassis mods, engine mods ao they don't have money left for appearance. I'm really into drifting but since i'm FF i'm more interested in mtn. touge (msp is pretty much made for it). Maybe once my car is done, i can save up for a FR.

nah man early '90s Ls400 u can pick up a high milage one for like 2g and swap a 2jz for like 5g and have fun its a plan right now....waitin to get a house first thou

i had a '90 240sx before my msp but the reliablity suxed and i needed a commuter for work, so out it went and in came the msp...i so miss rwd thou, im still learnin that my msp doesnt kick its ass out when i gun it thru a turn but im happy...i have a ong life ahewad to build another car for driftin

the 400 is too big, you need the SC300, and do the soarer conversion. the 300 will take the 2jz swap like a ***** takes tricks in Vegas. Trust me on this one, dont ask, just trust.

doesnt the sc300 have the n/a version of the supra engine. im pretty sure it does.

in that case there is no problem throwin in the turbo engine.

i know that there are JDM tails for our cars.. i have a set commin in...i can check to see the manufacter when i get them.. dang its nice to be sponsered

you have the jdm tails on your car stock. well the msp has the pink tint. stock sedan tails are the same as the jdm ones.

i dont konw thw company name... my buddys shop is getting them for me... while on the MSP the turn signal and the blinker are in the middle.. the JDM ones are along the bottom. so the whole tp is red and not cut in half by the white line.

those are just APC tails, usdm sedan tails are JDM tails. simple as that.

boostisgood..the soarer is a pig as well....weight isnt a big factor in drifting unless ur competitive and need a good power/weight ratio.....and i know a guy with a is300 with supra 2jz internals makin over 600whp here in md...he is in the new modified mag....also know a couple guys with sc300 "tt" swaped cars....ls400 isnt out there much, somehting different its a bit of work to get a supra motor into a lexus whihc ever way u go, total rewiring is needed and its not simple wahtsoever...but at the end u have a real sleeper for half the price of a stock supra

The JDM tails are slightly different. The clear stripe goes to the edge of the tail light, as where the UDM tails have the little reflector on the side of the tail light.

You can see it in the pics of the Familia in Japan vs US cars.

And there was no JDM MP3 or MSP. It was a Mazdaspeed Familia, it had all the parts and pieces of the MP3, except with the FS-ZE and gold/copper rims...However the rims where the same Racing Hart design.

Here is a tail shot of the 2000 Familia.

And the 2000 Protege...

The Familia pic is the only one on the Japanese Press Server that shows the tail. And it isn't as clear as I would like. But you can the clear portion extends slightly more to the outside of the tail than on the US car.

The US car doesn't have the right light to show the reflector, but its there. The Protege is a 2000 model, and the only picture that shows the dang rear end.

Is it a huge deal, no...But there is a difference.

Go to Mazda USA and watch the 360 view of the Protege...You'll see the little reflectors there.
