i want to get a mazdaspeed meet together!!! Interested???

I am looking to get the interest up to have an ALL MAZDASPEED MEET somewhere. What i want to start off with is finding out if all you other speed owners are interested in doing something like this? Next will be what would you like to do the most at the meet?

DRAG?
autoX?
CARSHOW?
MOD MEET?
DYNO?

ON the light side

Just have a BAR BQ/Carshow?
Cruise?

If we go this route i am thinking if we can get a good enough turn out that we might car get some sponcers to come out and have some of their product there for sale as well as demostrations of new product. I think it will be an awsome sight to see so many SPEEDs in one place.

Now for all you NON speed owners that have their eyebrow curled up at me right now. You are also invited as this might be the platform that pushes you over to the DARK SIDE to the SPEEDSIDE!!! we are all family so i am no way counting you guys out as think it would be a sight to behold to see that many speeds in one place since most of us try to see how many speeds that they can spot while driving on the road. I think most have seen maybe 2-3 at the most. SO please don't get mad at me for the title of this post.


So what do you guys think? Can we get this done? As for the date i think it should be sometime in the summer as it might take that long to get this rolling as set up. PLEASE NO NEGETIVE COMMENTS!!!!! Constructive but not negative are welcome.

i am from maryland and i am not saying that this meet should be in maryland. What i would like to have happen is you guys post where you would like to have the meet and why there. PLEASE DONT BE BIAS TO YOUR HOMETOWN BECAUSE YOU LIVE THERE ONLY. If there is a good enough reason to have the meet there then post. LIke it you live in west virginia they have summit point for those of you that like to AUTO X. Those of you that are in New jersey have ATCO, ENGLISHTOWN , and MAPLE GROVE raceways and so one and so forth.

Norwalk, OH. is a nice place. The annual DSM (Eclipses, talons, lasers, etc...) meet is held there. Several motels, hotels and Cedar Point (Probably the best amusment park around) is close by. It can be a vacation for those that live far.

MSD seems like a good place to go I don't live too close + CPE probably could come out and show off thier stuffs. Maybe when it opens back up. + it is fairly easy to get to for all peeps involved. cept for ATL hahahah

Well, I'm in Columbia, SC now with the Speed6, and the ProbeGT is back in Columbia, MD as the "spare" for the Mrs (as it has winter tires).

Deals Gap would be loads of fun. I had a trip planned for there in November '06, but as some of you know, my car was stuck at the dealership for lemon law.

Norwalk would also be fun, but its a bit one sided... only drag racing. If we did Deals Gap, I'm sure we could find a Drag Strip as well as those amazing roads... what is 380 turns in 12 miles. Some of your wives might even enjoy all the chick stuff they have down there as well.

This could be very interesting, someone with ties to the Mazda Magazine might want to get invovled, this would be a fun story.

Would be nice for sponsor's to put up prizes, best ET, best Show Car... unoffical prize for fastest through Deals Gap... (peep)

i would personally love to do deals gap, I live in NC but have not been their yet, however you should be made aware that it is quite the police hang out since it is a well known spot and it can be quite crowded during certain times as every body from bikes to trucks goes there.

i do understand that Deal's Gap is rather crowded since you live near there, is there any time of the year where it wouldn't be THAT bad or is it just crowded year long for the most part?
