I took my exhaust off...

Damn, I gotta get a sense of humor and buy a Sawzall, and learn to use it.

Nah, it probably would be more fun and entertaining just to use the Sawzall without knowing how. But I ain't getting it near my Speed.

my point here was actually a compliment not an insult. You obviously are a very knowledgeable person and your posts and information are very well respected, at least by me, and appreciated to this board. My point was that this forum is not ONLY for great information but entertainment as well. It is like cable...some channels will teach you a ton and others just entertain you. Both parts make it a great thing.

Well I certainly hope I was able to give everyone enough entertainment for the day :D.

A most enjoyable thread... thanks to all contributors. I can go to bed smiling now... ;)

Although probably a bad idea, I wanted to update this thread.

The exhaust is....BACK ON! Yay!!!

I'm not dead due to poisoning. Nothing caught fire. I did piss off a lot of neighbors early in the morning though.

The car just got annoying to drive being so loud. It was fun for the first month or so, then got old, and eventually VERY annoying. I noticed more performance gains at the top end but performance loss at lower RPMs. The car is definitely more balanced with the stock exhaust on there.

I did not. Although I never noticed a drop in A/F ratio, boost (or vacuum I should say), etc...

Wow, that's pretty significant.

The butt dyno tells me that there was definitely a HP loss with the "open" exhaust.
