Ok so heres what happening. My mom drove the ms6 for the first time last night. (yes she can drive stick but was afraid of the ms6) and she had a blast and says she could drive it when she had to go into work and such, so we are going to keep the ms6 and sell the tungsten6 when i find a nice 3.

Best idea eva.

how much u trying to spend? will u have any mod money left over? if so whats ur first mods?

Under 19 for sure Probably get it for 17.5 or so. as for mod money. my mom doesnt really want me to get anything crazy right away so ill probabaly just do a Ingen Intake and Vibrant catback. then lower it. maybe trade wheels with the 6 before it sells (gotta see if they can be fixed first.

If the BBS's can get fixed (i dont think they are bent to bad) ill get them fixed and powercoated white.

what color u hopin to get?

and +1 on the injen intake, best one out for the 3! (notice my avatar lol)

No i dont really mind reposting.

As for color. i want to find a white one. and do you know what size piping the ingen has? i want to know so i know what size bypass valve to get.

i believe its 2.5"

BUT ive heard that bypass valves rob any performance ur intake could have gained! but honestly man i was really concerned about hydro lock at first, but when i got the injen i really dont sweat it AT ALL its up super high from the ground where water could be, then the water that does splash up would hit your bottom splash shield under the engine bay.

the cone sits above the vents in the wheel well, so the water would not hit the cone, it would hit the intake piping. but for safety precautions i did cover up those vents and bought an injen hydro shield just in case! i dont worry about water at all! (but i would reccomend you do these 2 things, the hydroshield and cover up those vents)

Alright. i was going to do Bypass and hydrosheild but i def dont want to lose power.

I mean. my dad had a AEM CAI on his protege for 4 years and had no problems so im not to worried about it. i just wanted to be on the safe side. keep in mind though i will be lowered so you still think id be safe? im not going to be hella cali slamed low but i want to get rid of most of the wheel gap.

as long as you have the engine bay splash guard (the stock plastic piece that comes on the bottom of the car ) / cover up those vents in the wheel well / and a hydro shield youll be absolutely fine! once you get it and install it, you will see there is no way water is getting in it lol, heres a look at my intake when i first installed it, the intake actually points UP away from the water, best design ever

notice the splash shield unerneath the intake there are no holes or gaps for water to fly up (the rest of the splash shield and the bumper is obviously still off in this picture lol)

covered wheel well / injen hydroshield:
