Haha, you're lucky. My parents gave me my first car, but it was a 1993 Ford Festiva. 65hp, hahaha. At least it was the 5-spd manual version.
Anyway, I think as others have suggested, a naturally-aspirated engine is probably going to have an efficiency, reliability, and insurance cost (for under-25 driver) edge, especially over a used MS6. I might be biased, I bought a crystal pearl white '10 MZ3 s Sport 6-spd HB and love its generous NA 2.5l torque/hp. I'd actually suggest something like a Mazda2 for a first car, but I can see you know what you're looking for already and can't personally fault your aspirational selection.
