that alarm is awesome i just installed it about a week ago.
i got it for a good price too. i havent had any problems with it. and you can do almost anything with the remote, like turn alarm off if someone is working on your car. but definitlly recommend it

The cost of the matrix RS 3 is very low. There's a TON of markup. Speak to someone who works at Best buy and get their discount

actually, I work at best buy, and there's no employee discount for that unit

In addition, our installers won't hook up the last wire for the remote start on manual trans vehicles due to liability issues ( :bs: )

hey there guys... i just saw the 3.5 tonight at best buy and man was i impressed. i have been way out of the car audio/car alarm loop for about 6 years...

best buy has it for 499.99 installed and i too asked a frien who is a best buy employye and they said the same as dead air, emploess cant get them at a discount...

im not sure if they can get the 2.5 at a discount but i do know the 3.5 is a definite no.

id love to get one at 65% off like pates got...

A couple of my friends ordered these, one for his 300ZX (lynx) and one for his 944 (aladdin). Both are awesome units, can't beat the price, and very easy to install.

Get the compustar. I love that alarm. It works with manuals with out having to arm it in passive mode. Just tap the neutral safety wire in tranny and diode to brakes. If you know someone who can install it, do it. Its very complicated to install but the range and features are superb..

theres huge markup on just about anything car related.


as for clifford, i'm a fan of their product and if i got another alarm right now it be another clifford. although ive heard nothing bad about compustar either.

I hate Clifford.. i've had a bad experience with them... I have the Clifford Solaris.. the alarm part of it works fine, but the remote starter is a fucken piece of crap. And they have been ALL but helpfull... I will never EVER buy their product again.
