I just drove a new Mazda6 GT MT 5 Hatchback and guess what????

:
2017 Mazda CX5 GT - Premium
I think that my 5 feels more responsive and nimble. Dont get me wrong, the car felt sharp, and solid but it didnt give me the feeling as if it were on rails like my 5 does. I would choose the 6 over a camry or accord though because it doesnt have that generic feeling to it.

Mazda6 = Fusion = Milan = Zephyr.

Mazda5 = Mazda3 = European Focus = Volvo S40/50/70. Much cooler blood line IMO ;)

Whether or not what I just posted above has any real world validity, very cool to hear your report. I've never driven a 6 but I can believe it.

If you check my reviews, you'll find I've never liked the Mazda6 nearly as much as the smaller Mazdas. In fact, I ended up buying a Protege5 after thinking about a Mazda6. The 6 might handle better than its direct competitors, but it still feels big and numb compared to a 3 or 5.

well crap, lol. I was thinking about getting one once my hyundai was worn out. I like the way they look and the idea of having a v6 wagon. I love the way the 5 feels in a turn. Maybe I should just get a 5spd 5. :)

Buddy of mine that I used to work with bought the 6 wagon with the 5spd. We stopped by his place on vacation and he and I drove each other's rides over the weekend. We both came to the same conclusion, the 5 felt "peppier" and more engaging even though we both knew it had less horsepower.

When I drove the 6, this was before the 3 came out, it felt like a slightly bigger Proteg with a larger turning circle. Nicer looking, but not worth trading for. Then the 3s came out and I got hot for one of those because of the bigger engine and better handling. After a while I lost interest in the 3s due to lack of rear leg room. Then the 5 came out and it has everything the 6 and 3 didn't have -- all in one package. Peppie, short turning circle, tossable, rear leg room and more utility. It isn't perfect, but as close as one can get at the price. I'm still waiting to get a 5, my six year old Pro has only 28,760 miles on it. Just broken in good. Don't be so quick to trade, you don't appreciate what you HAD until it's gone.
