im boosting 13lbs and holding at 11 no other mods besides intake buying the fmic soon if anyone wants to know how i set it just ask and ill post it
 
free up the exhaust......
13 psi seems like a lot without supporting mods.
 
yeah... im getting the fmic this month plus the next mod for me is the turbo back that should help a lot ill have it done by nthe end of next month just waiting for corksports turbo back to come out

be careful with 13lbs of boost with out fuel management
 
I installed it myself so just price of ebc 340 cause i overnighted the damn thing then i programmed my self as well was pretty easy. only problem it spools up slow any suggestions on how i can spoil up faster im thinging of getting a dp and hollowing cats soon if that turbo back isnt up and going soon
 
i think a downpipe should be your next mod.
get catless, or one with a hi-flow cat.

i have 2.5" with a 2.5" Magnaflow hi-flow cat.
spool up is very quick.

i used to have catless DP, then welded a hi-flow cat.
didnt notice any difference in spoolup time.....although i did loose a little less than a 0.5 of psi.
 
i have seen numerous mazdaspeeds in NJ blow up @ 13-15psi!

As these guys are sayin, be very careful with the upped boost. I've been running 14psi for quite a while and after installing the AVC-R, I upped that .1 bar so I'm hittin about 17psi. Unfortunately(or fortunately, depending on your outlook), I can't drive for long distances due to the fact I'm still recovering so I haven't been able to put my foot in it at 17psi for too long of a time.

BUT this forum is the prime example of "just because he did it, doesn't mean I can". If you are not willing to take the chance of blowing a motor to pieces, I'd suggest stepping it down. There's a guy here who blew his motor at stock boost due to his driving so again, every car & driver will be different. Don't think just because Discreet or I publically talk about having high boost (I know quite a few more on here are that high too, they just dont say anything) that it's okay for everyone.
 
By the way, if you're running an EBC and you boost spikes up to 13 and then "holds" at 11, you need to tune the settings further. There's a thread somewhere on here explaining Profec settings & gains and all kiindsa stuff.

circuit sport = protosport i thought?
 
set your start boost up closer to where your peak boost is, then at 15% gain, I get the fastest spool without spiking. Easily as fast as stock spool and I have no other mods except intake
