hello all.

I have not been very active on the forum in quite sometime. Life has kept me very busy!!! I have met some great people here. I have sold my P5 in search of more power. I purchased a 2005 subaru impreza. This car is fast and the all wheel drive is awesome. The P5 is a great car I enjoyed owning one! I was not fond of the Mazda3. I hope someday Mazda really beef up the hp in their vehicles. The Impreza WRX is pushing 227hp with all wheel drive. It seems that most cars today are at least around the 200hp range. The new civic si being released this fall is rumored to have 200-210hp. The new civic SI is a coupe again not a hatchback. Anyway, I do not want to go on about that..... I would like to say it has been great everyone. I will still come back to lurk or post on occasion.

The sad thing is, what you paid for that you could have bought an SRT4. Haha! You paid WAY too much for a car that will lose to an SRT4 due to the weight advantage and the turbo's performance. Enjoy your Impreza though!

Ive seen this....from a dig a good driver will **** the srt. oh and I used to own an srt-4, I actually just traded in 2 weeks ago. Ive ripped a few wrxs some new arseholes ....all in good fun. congrats on your purchase.

I guess I would say you are entitled to your opinion. I bought the wrx because I like the vehicle. Price was not a factor. I considered the aftermarket products for this vehicle, etc. As for the SRT 4 beating an Impreza STI, well that is stretching things a bit. Hey, it could have happened if the STI was not moving or if the STI was an older model. In my opinion an SRT 4 vs. WRX will ultimately come down to driver and many other factors. I would say these two vehicles are very close in terms of performance. As far as SRT 4 goes and saving money well lets just say that it is still a dodge and depreciates as fast as an STI. Reliability and build quality is another topic.

Buying a car isn't all about straight ahead speed. We all know that that's the ONLY thin the SRT-4 has. There are other things such as handling and not to mention looks(blarf) (SRT-4) !

the base SRT-4 will be pretty close to the base WRX, but there is no way is can beat a STi with equal drivers driving it.

the STi would take it hands down.....put a bad driver in the STi it could be a different story!
