I have 65535 unread PM's?

It says I have 65535 unread PMs, total in the 700 range. Seems like a bug.

I think the problem is, the board was upgraded to 3.5.4 and perhaps the counters and tables were NOT updated in the database... then the server took a s*** and that probably made things worse

it should be ok once those things are run

Wierd the same thing happend to me a few weeks ago and I sent Antoine a PM about it when he got back to me he said he'd look into it then it went away but he got back to me later and said he was still looking into it so I told him it had gone away but he said he hadn't done anything yet, wierd huh.

that's messed, i think the pm count just needs to be recalculated.

Check the "Messages: xxx" box at the top right of the message list and then choose "Mark as read" from the pulldown menu in the lower right of the PM list. Click "Go" and it will mark all messages as read and reset your totals correctly

I had the same problem and your suggestion worked. You might want to sticky this and put something along the lines of "65535 Private Messages" as the title. That's what I searched for.
