Really though, I split with my girl after a year and it hurt like hell so I know what you're feeling. I gave her some time to herself and did my own thing after that. She came back and we have now been together for 3 years. My best advice would be to give her that space and let her decide while you move forward in life.

Thank's Spicy, that's pretty much all I wanted to hear I just wanted someone to tell me that's what to do. She means to much for me to lose her.
I feel ya. I've never met anyone quite like the woman I'm with. Every relationship has it's ups and downs. I think the best thing I did for her and myself was give her the space though. It hurt, not knowing what she was doing or who she was with. But I just enjoyed myself and then did not set a double standard when we started talking again. And 2 more cents...if you do get back together, don't ask what she was doing the time you were apart.

The girl I was with needed some "space." During those two weeks she moved in with some other guy. The guy ended up punching her in the face and she moved back out. Guess who got a call? Me! "I've been thinking about you..." Sorry b**** but I'm second best to no one. All she heard from me was the click of my cell phone closing.
I really don't want to say this but when a girl needs "space" it's a license for her to go **** another guy. Meanwhile, we're too wrapped up in ourselves trying to figure out how we ****** up and can't even think of being with someone else. Make your stand when she comes back to you by telling her to **** off. Being single isn't bad at all. I can drop everything and go to another country without letting anyone else know. I can stay out at a pub until the sun comes up, every dollar I make goes to me! Muhaha, its all mine! After she left me i bought another car.

After she left me i bought another car. While I do feel your pain, think of it as five-fold for me...when you break up with your girlfriend, both still love each other, but it's best that she takes some time to figure things out in her life (not space...just time 
) and the final blow comes on valentine's week...it's pretty harsh this way. Especially when you are still best friends and you were dating for over 4 1/2 years.
My songs of the moment are a bit more lamenting as my situation requires...some Lacuna Coil, Finch, Injected, and AFI. If you want to just listen to something that'll make you feel a little better, get some Sevendust, or better yet...Andrew WK. There's no way to feel emotionally down when you're listening to him!
