I've been riding my bike to work in downtown portland, since its costs $10/day to park there, and I get punished practicaly.
Me and some older businessman who was riding his bike too both got pulled over.
Cop made $500 on us for rolling the stop sign, totaly effing rediculous :|

Contest it. I doubt the officer will even show up and it will get thrown out. If he does show up he'll probably get laughed out of the room by the judge.

Sorry to say but that's fing hilarious. I got a ticket in Lake Oswego for speeding on a bicycle when I was 13 for passing a cop down a hill on the right and in the dirt. He said I was doing 45 in a 25 and when my dad and I went to court the judge asked me if I was going that fast .I told him I have no idea since my bike wasn't equipped with a speedo . The judge said he was kidding and threw it out but did tell me to watch next time and he would have a little talk with that police officer. Wish he didn't because that cop pestered me for years after that.

That does suck. Unfortunately bikes are subject to the same rules of the road as cars for the most part. Sounds like the cop may just have some personal issues. Did he immediately go after some people jaywalking after that? Because jaywalkers are reported to be particularly unruly.
