The atx is for austin texas.. i'm looking for around 350 hp. and hopefully a reliable engin. i dont need another car.. we have an is300 and a spec-v just want a play toy. and i'm not really concerned about how much its going to cost... i'm looking to blow around 30-50 grand on this car.

You should make the IS300 the project car. If you want serious power do what my friend did. Put a Supra TT engine and tranny into the IS....that will give you much more power than spending 30-50k on the protege if you're serious

Not to say that the protege wouldn't be fun, but imagine 500-600 hp with the RWD IS. Just a thought.

Yeah I registered and then forgot about the forum. Also I had been planning to pay off the car and get something new, but the developments in turbo kits has made me reconsider making a great sleeper.

Hehe fortunately I have to save some $ for the turbo kit since I will also replace the clutch, flywheel and exhaust at the same time. So next spring when I'm ready Im sure the turbo kits will be even more refined.
