I did a mod to my sport shift

...yeah, OR you could've just gotten a real manual, and not try to make up for the fact that you can't drive one with a new shifter knob and boot.

..and? there exist minivans that go faster than my stock P5 with manual trans.

but, making it look like you have something that you don't is by it's very definition, rice and lame. i don't care if people HAVE automatics, but pretending or making them look like they are manuals is just dumb, imho.

but hey, it's what i like to call an oh-pin-yun, which means that in the end it doesn't really matter what i or you or anybody else thinks. he did what he wanted and that's the end of that.

I think it is pretty cool. Looks nice, and he is happy. At least it does not have neon lights or something on it!

Give the kid a break. He did a decent mod. Who cares if a valet will have a problem. Are they really that popular still? I cannot remember the last one I used.

I still remember Pirana w/his turbo going crazy and "killing" everything on the road. And to prove he did it w/an auto, he once raced holding a slurpee cup out the driver's side window w/his left hand. I think that's hilarious that some manual dude got his ass kicked by an automatic. While I probably won't do that any time soon, it's always a story that makes us auto guys smile

l8r did that with is auto and its not a sport shift. pm him it looks pretty tight.

i might be doing this too except cutting the shifter short and rethreading it. that would look sooo nice, bmw style. i just hate the look of the auto.(i have a sport shift auto)

Hey Corwin, you said you twisted off the knob for the shifter? How'd you do this? You have the sport shifter, right? I don't wanna put too much force trying to twist it off until I know exactly how to do it, just in case I break something

hmm ok I've tried a few times but was too worried about snapping the shaft or screwing something up below. I just grab the knob and turn right? hehe
