I can't wait for WARCRAFT III

Warcraft III comes out weds...I have it reserved...i can't wait. Yeah, I know I can get it now (the ISO is everywhere on the net). I can probably get it from a half dozen people. But I'm being good and waiting it out. Anyone else here plan on getting it?

I'm seriously debating getting it. I'm thinking I may just get the burned copy just to see if my computer can handle it and if it can, then I'd definitely buy the game. I've purchased pretty much every game/expansion pack that Blizzard has put out. They can be slow, but they put out quality games.

I am still trying to recover from playing Starcraft a year ago... It's already time for Warcraft III? Damn, I better go to the eye doctor this week so I can handle it when it comes out.

even if you get the iso you can't play online unless you are a legit user.

I think Warcraft II was my first strategy game...I loved the intro clips..still have the box in good condition...LOL...on the box it says...

"Compatible with MS-DOS, Windows 95 and Windows 3.1"

For Blizzard games, I have always purchase the full version and I own them all in fact. I've also had the cool experience to beta test Diablo before it went gold back then. Even though they are mainly drawn in 2-D, the graphics from any Blizzard games are fantastic (IMO). Great games that are well developed, so I guess I'll order my copy of Warcraft III via the internet as well.

Got this from Blizzard's website (latest and greatest computers not required if you look at the requirements below, but PLEASE do no play using a 28.8 modem ... nothing less than a cable speed connection online for the sake of other players' sanity... thanks. ):

me and my friend had the beta version with a hack...it was pretty sweet...and actually i was running a 56k modem and the game waas still smooth...zero to little lag...the graphics on this game are absolutely amazing...i love how you can rotate the view...it's all completely 3d...i don't know what the minimum requirements are but this is what i'm running...

1700mhz intel p4 (i really need to get an athlon)
256 ddr ram
visiontek geforce3

i can't wait for the game...but i don't know if it's really worth $60...

Thanks for the specs...looks like the recommended specs are low...although I have 32mb card...its a year old or so...what are the 128mb cards priced at now? What are your opinions on the best "bang for the buck" 64mb card?

I have this card:
GAINWARD/CARDEXPERT GeForce 3 Ti200 64MB (NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 GPU), Power Pack Golden Sample, ( 4ns. 64MB DDR. ). $133.00 at NewEgg.com
I looked into others before deciding on this and am glad I did. Now the GeForce 4200 is out but I have not done any research on the performance differences between my card and it. $193 gets you into the 4200 with 128 mb RAM.
The GeForce3 Ti200 can be overclocked to perform allmoast as good as the Ti500. It is a simple process to overclock as the software to overclock it is sent with the card. I looked into different cards and this seemed to be the best value at the time. I can recommend NewEgg highly. Their prices are in line with the cheapest listed in pricewatch.com, their shipping is reasonable and they are very good with returns. I had to send a motherboard back (don't buy a soyo) and got a GigaByte instead and the transaction went very smooth and fast. Check Tomshardware.com for reviews of cards.

A YEAR ago? I've been playing Starcraft since 1997! w00t!

HALF LIFE? Nah, It's popular, I'll give you that...but there's better games out there.
